Outside view:
Cut sides & base of each box from thick cardboard. Use book binding tape to join, leaving a 1-2 mm gap, to create a durable hinge.
inside view. You can see the gap here. I only used the tape on the outside.
Measurements for each of the boxes:
Large box: side panels 4@ 5"x4", base: 1@ 4" square
Medium box: side panels 4@ 4"x3 1/4", base: 1@ 3 1/4" square
Small box: side panels 4@ 3 1/4"x 2 1/4", base: 1@ 2 1/4" square
Lid: I glued the sides to the top to hold together, then glued paper over the top, sides & inside to hold securely.
Measurements:
top: 4 3/8" square
sides: 1" high, lengths cut to size dependind on how you put the lid together.
Holes punched in medium & small box sides to thread ribbon - 2 holes in each panel, 1" from the top, 1/2" in from each side.
